Not sure where this goes since I am unsure of the problem. Here is the setup Freya, YS 80, GV-1, all futaba. When I am in idle up with the gov running and the stick in the center the engine will hunt for rpm. I have the head speed set at 1850 and it sounds like the engine is overspeeding and underspeeding in a pretty steady pattern. It is also noticeable but not as bad in a fast decent when the stick is centered. The throttle servo is a .16 sec. I can't imagine the servo being to slow. I checked all the dumb stuff sensor (97%) all setup menus. The one thing that seems to make a difference is changing the needle settings on the rich side. But the problem does not dissappear. Also YS 80 does have STII barrel installed.

is the engine broken in ? (3-5 gallons?)

What you're experiencing is bad needle setup
where it's too rich.

The GV1 doesn't tolerate a mis-tuned engine.

On a broken-in 80, your mid needle should be
somewhere between 1-1.25 from closed and
the high should be about .75 from closed.

Thanks

I just got through the 3rd gallon today. The weird thing is the problem lessons with a rich setting. I haven't gotten to the max needle settings yet I was just starting to lean it out today and noticed the problem. It was also 110 here in AZ so I can't get to crazy on the needles to much due to heat. I will def. try to lean it past where it is and see if it clears up. Any other ideas?

I have had this happen to me.

2 causes that I found was improperly tuned engine and the other was a leak in one of my fuel tubing.
