My Sceadu has double ended, formed, plastic links one of which I need to replace. [It is 28 mm center to center] A call to Ricks indicates Nathon has been unable to find these double ended links. Does anyone know where they can be found?
All the others on my machine can be made up with conventional materials, but the 29 mm one is nearly too short to make me comfortable with a jury rigged setup.

I use the thunder tiger raptor 30/50 links.

I think I pay $2 for 2 of them.

I split them up and use a long and short end with the small rod that comes with the links.

All you need are short Hirobo links! Did you try them?Do you need the number?
They work pretty well!
No way for TT! With them your heli would certainly crash!

Umm, crash, yes. But not because I have a TT part on it.

I have JR and MA parts on my Benzin, MA and Hirobo parts on my Predator and TT and century parts on my freyas.

Did you know that the TT Rap 50 main mast bearings have the same part number on them as the Hirobo bearings? They cost 1/2 as much and include the rap start shaft bearing which fits in the freya grips.

So not only is it cheaper but it will give you a spare part for the freya grips.

Both Hirobo and TT use the same thread diameter and pitch for the rod ends.

So what is the big deal about swapping parts between brands?

Great help

Thanks for your help. Yes please share the Hirrobo numbers with me and thanks for the the TT part nos. I think it's great that we can share parts like that. Hmmm on the other hand my Sceadu might crash with TT parts ......................... LOL.
Thanks again fellows.
By the way, if anyone still knows of the boubble ended unit it is much easier and I do feel safer with it, just because of the way you have to modify the ends to make it fit.

Beware!!!

Well there is no number for the linkages you talking about by itself, and the only chance to get them is to buy a set
0412-136 – Linkage set
What I would recommend you is to get a small linkages from HIROBO and then adjust them like do all other guys on Evo, here is the numbers:
2524-014 – Rod end S
2522-001 – Adjust Rod 2x16

rcadd1ct,
As about TT than you of course could try your luck and install on your Hirobo whatever you want, but the next time you crash don’t ask why it was…it is bad karma!!!
You could ask everyone and they would tell you that there is a curse, in case you place on your Hirobo, parts from other helis when there is a special Hirobo part for that, but you just don’t want to use it, so …you could try, but believe me the Gods of Hirobo would be merciless, and even Jeff Green wouldn’t help you in this case!!!

Yeah, but I had freya gear on my predator for a while so the gods ignore me now.

Here is the deal. I love to fly. I also crash. It is inevitable when you push yourself to the limit and beyond.

I get fairly bummed when I have a machine down due to mother earth calling it back home. I try to put them back together as fast as I can and get back on the horse. If I can do that cheaper by sourcing parts @ boca or subbing parts I will. If I can buy another gallon of fuel by getting a different brand part, I will.

This is what you call addiction. I must fly. Sometimes crashes happen when you have made other financial obligations. I do what I have to to get my parts quick and as cheap as possible.

I spoke to Jeff Green about Hirobo bearing prices @ a fun fly once. He mentioned that the Hirobo parts are higher quality. This may or may not be the case. Both parts have the same number on them. It really doesn't matter. The heli will take the big dirt nap before my bearings will show signs of wear.

Now it makes me sound like I crash a lot. I really don't. My crash meter varies. If I just fly around trying to forget the h3ll that is my work right now I never crash. If I am trying to figure out inverted flight and piro flips, my darn crash raptor lives up to it's name.

We all make choices. I choose to fly as cheap as possible and have fun, whatever brand of heli it is.

Both parts have the same number on them.

that doesnt mean jack.

bearings have 'standard' part type numbers
so a 680ZZ bearing is of a certain size and
shield type. Nothing more.

Now if you have the mfgr name on it like
NTN, SKF, NSK, etc, you can get a clue as
to the quality of the bearing.

Unless you have to, there isn't much reason to
pay for yet another middleman (Hirxbx) to
tack on more profit.

mfgr->maybe_distributor->Hrxbx->Altech->LHS->you

Back to the topic..... I have one of those 28mm
double links sitting in my parts box. PM me
your address and I'll send it to you if you want.

You guys are all right

About the only thing I can thing of that is more expensive than this hobby is my golf game. The helis are more addictive though. I agree, it is a real high to see that thing lift off and fly around when you push the sticks. I hope you guys won't let the word get out that my Sceadu may be morphing into a TT.
Thanks for your help.

Think twise!!!

You forget about other hobbies like fishing, skiing, car tuning, e.t.c.
I play in a music band so I would tell you that it isn't cheap as well!!!

Sceadu to Raptor - hmm it’s your choice!
But it’s pretty strange?
Oh...yea...Remember the curse! Hirobo Gods would bent tour favorite golf clubs or morph them into the hockey sticks!
Revenge for traitors!
