Had Fun, but I hate mother nature

Rockie,

Great event but mother nature hosed us all a bit. Had alot of fun meeting new folks and watching thosethat dared the elements. I hope to see you all next year if I can get the time off.

Sunday was much better. Even though it was windy (20+ knots), the weather was clear and sunny. I got 6 flights in and it calmed down in the afternoon. Just love those big ass loops into the wind. With the smaller number of people, there was a bit more room on the flight line also. Jerry wowed the crowd for the informal noon time demo, the Avant got some action and there was a good crash or two to boot.

I also had a good time, unfortunately I missed Alan's flying. Just too bad the time went by so quick. I got home in thick fog at 1 in the morning after been questioned by my buddies at the immigration. I like to thank the organizer(s) for this great event. It was worth the trip all the way from Canada. I just finished posting some pictures in my gallery. Special thanks to Pete, Curtis and Alan.

What impressed me most at this FF was Curtis doing a monster down wind auto, smooth and controlled all the way....

Cheers

Kay

Hi guys!

I would just like to thank everyone for a really great fun fly. My friend and I had a really great time in Las Vegas and I will be back in Vegas in the future, for sure. Everyone that was there made this a good experience for us.

A special thanks to Rockie Roper and the Szabo family for making this event possible.

The flight to and from USA was problem free with regards to the heli in my suitcase. The only funny episode was with the security personnel on LAX, one of the guys said: "Oh, a JR radio! I fly Futaba.." (My friend carried his 10x case as hand luggage). The security dude asked if he could take a look at it and he showed it off to his colleagues and told them what a cool radio it was. He flew 1/4 scale planks himself. We did carry on without questions..

See ya later!

Thanks
Kjetil

Kjetil,

Glad you made it back without any hassle. I really enjoyed you and Neils (spelling?) company. Congrats on your winning the 3D Masters Sportsman class! Your flying was very impressive.

Kjetil,

It was great meeting you guys. It is really nice to see international pilots at the funflies here in the USA. Now I just need to get to more overseas funflies!

Glad you trip went well!

Eric
