My Posts This: Topic Forum | I too found the machine split interesting.
The Furys seemed less dominant than last year, but still plenty there.
More Vigors this year, with quite a few of the Team JR visiting the event. Marty, Anthony, Curtis, Robert and Scott. The vigor continues to evolve, into what looks like a decent model. I guess the Vigor CS 2 will be out soon, as the original is looking very dated compared to the machines currently being flown by the Big Boys.
Raptors, very interesting this one, we had 2 different approaches here. The Szabo' fully Blinged Raptor 90s Vs the more 'Personal' Mods of Yamaguchi Bravo/Raptor 90s.
Other manufacturers where not so well represented in the higher classes:
Stevie McFall, doing the business for Hirobo in Masters class.
John Parker, who looks to have that Predator sorted, getting exposure for Century. Well done Matey
Again, some newish machines to look at:
Hydra - Novel design, with some clever thinking behind it
DynaX - Looked pretty impressive in the hands of Andreas Rummer, I bet Robbe wish they could have brought that machine out, instead of the M3 !!!
And, for me, the highlight of the event, those Midi-size electrics. The 3DMP, Acrobat and the Logo (not sure which size logo it was). They were great, the future of 'fun' heli flying I think.
Probably some other machines I have forgotten about.
The other noticeable thing, and not too surprising really, the amount of 90 size machines. A very high % of 90 size machines to be seen battling it out.
That leaves the brave souls , flying 50 size models. It wasn't the best of weather conditions for the smaller models, that get buffeted about by the winds more than their bigger brothers (90s)
I hope I proved a point, that it's the pilot that makes the difference, not just having the most expensive and lastest 90 size machines to do well and have fun at such events.
