Internet fraud via Ebay

AFTER A LOAD OF EMAILS GOING BACK AND FORTH,
I have paid for something before receiving it, which is (stupid) and the package that was due on friday 11 06 04 has not been received after sending three e-mail's asking where it has gone too, but there has been no reply.
and I wonder if anyone has been offered this helicopter or you know of this person

This X-cell Fury Tempest FAI is set-up for a Futaba 9Z transmitter (note that 8 channels are needed to fly this machine: 3x collective, rudder, gyro gain, governor, throttle, retracts). This auction does not include the transmitter, but I will happily copy the full-setup for your 9Z transmitter if you provide a CAMPAC module (I can also arrange to send you my CAMPAC module for download to your 9Z if needed). The fuselage on this machine is the Century (Funkey) Bell 222 and includes full, working retracts. This fuselage alone is nearly $1000 from Century. This is the only Fury Tempest I've seen in a Bell 222 scale fuselage, and it's just gorgeous in person. My local hobby shop has said it's the nicest scale heli they've ever seen, and asked to put this on display. It's a magazine-quality build and the metallic paint just glows in person. Total weight (dry) is 12 pound, 4 oz, and it climbs like a bat-out-of-Hades with the potent OS 91 C-Spec engine. Everything is set-up and ready to fly. This is an incredibly unique helicopter

I have found out that the address is a true address and so is the postcode but their is no listing of the above person in white pages
Must admit that im taking it that the information was given by hobbist as most of it is very factual or they have done lots of homework.

Can anyone post me other addresses of model shop that would deal with helicopters in Milano area
Do they have a model association?
We have the BMFA British Model Flying Association they hold a list of everyone who fly's in UK is there anything similar in Italy
Is there any other forums that deal more with helicopters in Italy in the milano area or flying sites clubs i can e mail and ask if they know the name? or the model

His ebay account:inchace is no longer active. t was a 0 feedback account setup on the start day of the auction. It has fraud signs all over it.

I guess you are out of your 700 pounds. I don't know what payment method you used, maybe you can get some help from a creditcard company.

Buy a few things first before you sell on E-bay these days if you are legit.

There are so many of these fraud accounts now it is sick.

So many things I should of asked for and didnt.

Although the help I got from Ebay about the policy of this and that
customer services more like protect the non customer services.
I asked who you are protecting if they have been removed from the site list? and have acted fraudulently.
Even yahoo wont help!

Reported it to various bodies IFCC etc.
But If my loss make someone else think then it worth it!

Maybe it's a little too late but i read your post and wanted to help you if I can.
First that name sounds really fake so probably you didn't find him on the white pages because he doesn't exist. I did a little research and this name doesn't exist on the whole country.

I personally know the first 3 shops owners (in particular hobby toys) and I'm 100% sure they have nothing to do with stolen models or such.
I don't know the 4th one but he does sell his own mechanics and never saw something different in his shop.
Also take in consideration that there are quite a few of fury in the area.
My guess is that this bastard totally invented the info.
Anyway I hope you can get your money back and posibly find the thief.

I really feel for you. I was watching this item and got suspicious with a reply to an email asking how much shipping would cost. He replied that he would pay for shipping (this is when the bid was about £278).

I noticed that he was based in Milan and was registered with eBay UK. eBay in Italy is pretty active so I did not understand why he would do this.

How did you pay? If it was an IBAN bank transfer he will be tracable as every account holder in the Eurozone has to have established creditentials (photo ID and utility bill for address etc).

These was all via Ebay, there are some good deals on there, always collect if you can. Ask for a lot of good close-up RECENT pictures. Don't accept a picture that doesn't show details.

Sorry to hear about your experience, and others who have been ripped off by him. I was very lucky, as he nearly caught me out too. It all started when i was interested in a vigor and he sends me an email via ebay to say that he has one for sale, and so on....

The only thing that alerted me was that he wanted payment via western union - which is an absolute no no !!! it turned out the pictures he sent me of his heli (as i asked for photographic proof), were actually of Curtis's taken of curtis's site - the cheeky b**tard !

I am quite happy to send over all my email correspondance if it helps, i did report him to ebay, but there is nothing they can do as he is stealing identities - so the ebay accounts he uses are legitimate and have good feedback.

I did talk to him one night on phone as i even asked him to deal in person rather than email. Shame, but i didnt store his number, no doubt he probably called off a payphone anyway.

Anyway, thought id share my story about this idiot. I would rip his throat out just because he tried to scam me, i wouldnt like to think what you would do if you caught him :-)

Ok guys and gals, enough kidding, however education is power. In the one reply the dip**** says he has a Wren 54 in a Hotcat. I just don't think so. The Hotcat was designed specifically for the HP5 mechanics and PHT3 turbine.
