Sorry I missed the event this year, looks like a good turnout of new scale birds!

Just a comment on the judging....Seems it should be time to either create a scale flying category seperate from building or at the very least weight them equally. There are static scale categories but there should be something in between if the flying is going to be judged as a major porition of the competition. There are quite a few great builders out there who can't fly very well and on the opposite side there is at least one of the top rated pilots who has entered an ARF into scale and won. That doesn't seem right in either case.

Maybe three categories? Static, Scale flight, and Combined, with Combined at 50/50?

2004 Circumgyration

On behalf of organizers of the 2004 Circumgyration event, I would
like to thank all of the 54 registered pilots who attended our event.
Although most came from California, we had participants from as
far away as Nevada,Oregon, Washington,British Colombia, Texas,
Alaska, Florida and even the UK. We had some beautiful scale
ships like Dr. Tims gas turbine Cobra and Gonzalo's awesome
4 bladed 412. I would like to give a special thanks to Mark Ryder
who took a great deal of excellent pictures. We hope everyone
had a good time and hope to see you all next year.

Dave did a fantastic job flying no doubt!!! and well deserve 1st place. Dr. Tim had some mech. problems and it was imposible to get him a good round in the air, but every minute that I spent around him was so much fun!!!! such a nice Dr.!!!!. Me, I took it very easy on flying.... was my 6th flight with my new 412 multiblade head..... quite a different story to fly 4 blade head on a competition and with gusts...... at the end just a few point separated the first 3..... but we have so much FUN. We all have to congratulate Dave!!!!! thoese autos!!! out of this world.
