Volunteers

There is still a few more spots left open for volunteers to help in radio impound and to work the flight line. For every time spot you work you get a ticket to put your name in the VOLUNTEERS ONLY drawing. These were all taken by Thursday afternoon last year and they are going quicker this year. You can work as many time slots as you like. The more you work the better your odds! Sign ups are posted on the IRCHA web site http://www.ircha.org/jamboreevolunteers.php

I would say Saturday is the best day for spectating. Lots of noon time demo flights. Lots of informative seminars taking place on Saturday as well.

Prize drawing question

Due to a wedding I can't get out of, I can't attend on saturday. I am planning to be there on friday. Do you have to be there to win, especially the grand prizes? I don't intend to fly so if I can't win, I see no need to register as pilot (I would just for the drawings though). I might sign up to do some impound duty as long as I don't have to be there to claim my prize.

Yes, you do have to be present to win. The drawing for the volunteers will be on Sat along with the Grand Prize drawing. I am sure we will be giving away pilot prizes every day (smaller items).

Unfortunately the wedding isn't till two in the afternoon and it's in southern Indiana. No way in hell to get out of it and still keep my wife happy. If I have to be there to win,I guess I won't go at all this year. Maybe next year

Do you guys think they would allow someone to fly a GWS Slow Stick strickly to take aerial pictures of the event? I have Aiptek Pencam 2.0 mounted on a SS and it would be cool to take and share photos of the event from up above. I can take about 300 photos that are 1600x1200 in size in a single flight.

Just talked myself into making the airline reservations, please pack the air mattress I will be onsite Wed evening at 11:30.
