This was the 4th large heli event we have held at our field but this was the first time I have spent most of it in the booth. This gave me an opportunity to get to know people I had met before, and also to meet a lot of folks for the first time. On the behalf of The Valley Flyer's, thanks to those who helped - it takes a community to hold a helicopter Fun Fly.
Apollo 11 field is my home field - I love this place. We had a great turn out of our local pilots, the greater local area (Vegas, San Diego, etc.) plus a large number of people who travelled distances to get here. It was terrific to see everyone.
Our Labor Day weekend event is coming up here next! It should be bigger than ever. Plenty of room, plenty of fun. Plan on it! Right here the end of August.
