Is it possible to put a gyro on a Heli-baby? Also would anyone have a copy of the owners manual I could buy or get a copy of? and could you put a tail mounted servo on it for the rudder? Thanks , Jerry

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Anything is possible. The original TR setup used a angled slot with the pitch wire running through a hollow TR shaft. If you ditch that and put some "normal" TR slider on it then you can put the servo anywhere. The Heli baby was quite Tail heavy and a rear servo won't help that. If you could find a modern boom and a toothed front pinion so you could run a toothed belt that would help. the TR belt would slip quite easily on the original. The frames are very soft and crack around the upper mast bearing so keep an eye on it. I have several of these in my "closet" and have toyed with the idea of getting one in the air so I can se how it "really" was

Why do all that? You could just fly it in the original configuration.
Then get some one to take a nice picture of JUST HOW wide eyed you CAN be!!! Hehehe..... It's a great challenge to fly with NO gyro and fixed main rotor pitch (can you say yo-yo effect??) I didn't fly mine much.......in fact you could call what I did with mine more like crashing with dignity.....hehe....
BTW, there is a pic of mine(complete with required J.I. Joe for balance) in my gallery.....have a look.
