Hey Mark, that heli in the crash came right at you. Seems like it hit the camera. I'm assuming your ok and wern't hurt.

I've had like two close calls like that myself when filming. But when there's a mechanical breakdown, there not much you can do but dive. I still have a small pain in my left arm from a dive I did a few months back when a 450 heli came right over my head!!!

You and your crew did a fantastic job of covering this event. For those of us who were there we will now be able to enjoy it over and over again. For those who did not make the event you have enabled them to see what a great event this club has put together. Thanks for your hard work.

Thanks Mark & Paige for the great, great, great vidoes and pictures. It seems like there are almost as many videos here as IRCHA had and they had quite a few more pilots. But it was fun, perhaps one of the most fun weekends of my entire time in this hobby.

Hopefully we can do it all again next year, already working on a guess list of great pilots and Mark it does include the one other Pilot you mentioned you would like to see us get, so hopefully that will work out too.

In the Alan Szabo demo video for Saturday... is it just me or did it seem like something went wrong before he landed? I've been replaying it several times right before he hits throttle hold and it looks a little abrupt even for his flying.

IIRC he had a tail part break. He fixed it and was flying a little later in the day.

Alan was crack shakin the 600 too much , that's probably what broke the tail part . I love watching him do that . He is awesome

If you look closely or actually just watch the tail at all before the blow out, you can see the tail shaking violently the entire flight, especially right after lift off. My first thoughts when I first played this video was his tail was going to go out, and sure enough it did. I'm willing to bet he could see and feel his tail vibration but went on anyways.

Are you from Cape town Africa! Wow that is a long ways off, although I will have to admitt we had someone from New Zealand and Germany at our event, as well as 3 pilots from Canada. But you are right Mark does a great job of doing these videos and it allows so many to be able to see a lot of the event when they cannot attend.

What other hobby or recreation can you have a great time flying with your rc helicopter, music (we play a variety of music during the day at our event) food (you should try some texas BBQ) and be able to chat with good friends from a large area, and then turn around and do the same thing for part of the night.
