 | Site Usage Rules | |
It's fast, friendly, and effective.

Attn REPS: Rep posting and responses are to be of
technical nature only. Reps will not be allowed to influence discussions by creating
topics or posts that enhance the brands or products they represent. Such topics and
posts will be pinked and closed. Repeat offenders will be locked out.
Vendors and their Reps need to read and agree to the following:
Site Usage Rules Vendor Specific.
By design, RR management does not follow or read along with the tens of thousands of
monthly postings. It instead relies on community feedback via the
pmRR
and
Attn: RR links.

Claims of censorship are not valid.
Policy has evolved over many years and is not open to public debate.

 | Moderation Policy | |
To maintain site appeal RunRyder minimally moderates and does not
mediate the conversations. It must maintain neutrality with all discussions
and will never editorialize or offer opinion.
RR moderation relies on member feedback, meaning for the most part, the site is
community policed. Members contribute feedback by clicking
Attn: RR
on problem posts. This feedback and its source will not be revealed and will
remain private.
Sometimes, problem post histories take time to become apparent. Just because it
was posted does not mean RR read it or approved it.
Important: RunRyder does NOT read member Private Messages unless they are
specifically sent to RR. RunRyder does NOT moderate or get involved with
Private Message traffic in any way, shape or form unless a PM is forwarded.
Use your PM’s
Report Spam
link to report spam or illegal activity.
Most RR moderating actions will happen without discussion. If moderation
is not obvious then use
pmRR
to ask for clarification.
 | Problems with private discussions (PM or Email) | |
RR will only moderate (not mediate) public postings via
Attn: RR feedback.
RR will NOT mediate (babysit) back end discussions going on via private messages
or emails. If the back end stuff is annoying you please add the problem people
to your RR ignore list and or your email program's block list.
 | Signature Policy | |

- MESSAGES TYPED WITH ALL CAPS.
- Using one word replies such as "cool".
- Making multiple posts with the goal of getting forum users to visit another site (spam).
- Using the [IMG] tag to post non-RunRyder smiles. This turns on the
Photo topic icon.
Troll (Internet)
(from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia):
In Internet terminology, a troll is a person who enters an established community such
as an online discussion forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, most often
in the form of posting inflammatory, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate messages.
One way to become known as a troll is to regularly post short comment
replies (junk) that on average contain no relevant content. Remember that
many members see every post via the

some relevant or coherent dialog.

 | Member or Vendor Grudges | |
RunRyder will not tolerate never ending grudges. If you have been wronged buy a RR member or have customer service issues with a Vendor you are welcome to lay out your case via Create New Topic. The mediation topic created will be the place holder for the issue and available for search. Going beyond the opening mediation topic or prolonging the issue for months and months will not be tolerated.
Anyone wanting to add negative feedback via post reply needs to understand the following guidelines. Provide firsthand knowledge or links back to mediation topics. No second hand hearsay. No requests for PM communications.
If you insist on holding a grudge you will be locked out.
